Acknowledgments

This book was conceived and completed by “The Writers’ Group”. The group first met in June of 2018. Membership consisted of Tom Goldsmith, John Rasmuson, Don Walton, Ken Kraus, Alan Coombs, Allan Ainsworth and Tom Huckin. We thank the members for their writing, filming, and dedication to see the work to its completion. As explained elsewhere, the role of the University of Utah’s Marriott Library in Salt Lake City was critical in the culmination of the book. Dr. Greg Thompson, Ms. Anne Morrow, and Ms. Elizabeth Rogers were all essential in supporting this project. We thank them deeply for their efforts.

 In addition to the Writers’ Group, the Reverend Monica Dobbins, Wayne Wilson, Lex Hemphill, Michele Page, Sue Geary, Vickie Steffey, and William (Bill) Reed added critical content to the book. Each of them submitted chapters that were critical in telling the contemporary story of the Church over the past 30-odd years.

 Don Walton and Ken Kraus videotaped a number of individuals to capture their stories about the church. Alan Coombs, Tim DeChristopher, Monica Dobbins, Peter and Amanda Esko, Tom Goldsmith, Julie Miller, Phil and Nancy Moos, and Pat Shea were all pivotal in telling stories via videotape that round out the written work. We also thank Stefanie Park for her role in digitizing archival sources contained here, such as Annual Reports.
